Spring Sports Are Here!

“Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” -1 Corinthians 9:24 

We had an exciting time at our spring sports coaches training and mandatory check-in this past Saturday. It was good to meet so many of you and see the excitement of beginning a new season. This was our official kick-off to our spring season and it's hard to believe the time is already here.

The Lord has blessed CAL with some outstanding spring sport opportunities for our athletes and the season ahead looks very promising. We have some tremendous coaches who love the Lord and are coaching to disciple our athletes for Christ. The challenge for our spring sports this year is found in 1 Corinthians 9:24 which says, “Run in such a way as to get the prize.” At CAL we value not only winning the earthly prize through competition, but more importantly, winning the ultimate race and storing up treasure in heaven.

I look forward to seeing our athletes and coaches in action this spring and I am confident that the Lord will bless and accomplish HIS purpose and plan. We have about 28 teams set to compete on the HS and MS levels this spring season, and everyone is excited about getting it started on February 16th! Make plans to come out and support all our coaches and athletes and you will not be disappointed.
