Boys Basketball Recap (1/25/10)

CAL vs. Trinity
Ranked no. 1 in the state and fresh off their LIT win, Trinity came to CAL looking to continue their hot streak and CAL determined to cut it short. With a key senior starter Collin Lopez out it made our uphill fight look a little more difficult. But someone forgot to tell the CAL players to roll over and play dead. Even with Mr. Basketball Candidate Josh Sewell’s hot three point shooting CAL kept the game within reach all night long.

Tim Henderson led us in scoring with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Mike Arnold really stepped up and helped fill in the scoring with 20 points 6 rebounds. Steady Chas Bierbaum contributed 11 points and also had 6 rebounds. Drew Mum-ford the smooth lefty scored 13 while Jake Edwards had 5 points and led the team in assists with 5. Mac Walden came in and gave some key minutes while scoring 2 points. With a 1:18 left in the game we cut the lead to 8 but could not draw any closer and ended up losing by 9 points 86 to 77. But it was a high scoring exciting game to watch.
