Darin Long Announced as Director of Athletics
Following a broad search process that included applicants from several states, Darin Long has been named Director of Athletics for Christian Academy of Louisville. Darin will oversee elementary, middle, and high school athletic programs as part of an internal realignment that will allow the school to have a broader focus on its complete athletic program.

Darin has been with Christian Academy for four years as the Assistant Principal for the English Station High School. In addition to his work as Assistant Principal, Darin has previously served as the school’s Interim Athletic Director, and he has coached intramural and middle school basketball and football since 2002. Prior to coming to CAL, Darin served as a teacher, principal intern, and Athletic Director at Iroquois High School in Louisville. He was the Business Department Chair at Iroquois, and he also started Iroquois' varsity softball program and served as its head coach.
Darin is committed to excellence in the performance of all Christian Academy teams and individual student-athletes, and he embraces the broader significance of athletics at the school. "Athletics is often our face in the community," Darin said recently, "and it provides us with a great opportunity to tell the school's story and to highlight not only our athletic abilities, but also our spiritual and academic strengths and the general character of our student-athletes. I am very excited about the chance to work with our coaches, teams, and students to ensure that we effectively communicate the whole Christian Academy message."
Darin received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Harding University and his Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Louisville. He is currently working toward his Education Specialist degree, also at the University of Louisville.
